Rangeley Lake Boating and Our Boat Ramp

Rangeley Lake affords some of the best boating in Maine. When you stay at Rangeley Town and Lake, you are welcome to use our boat ramp to access Rangeley Lake. Local marinas also rent fishing, pontoon, sailboat, and waterski boats as well as personal watercraft. Many Rangeley shops carry depth charts of the local waters for fishing and touring information and businesses renting boats and watercraft will have copies of the boating rules and regulations.
Be aware of the weather when boating on the Rangeley Lake. During sudden summer storms high winds and strong waves can come out of nowhere. Always make sure that you share your boating plans with someone.

Going slow is advised in unfamiliar water, as there are areas that might not be well marked for rocks and obstructions.

Registered Maine Guides can be helpful to find the best fishing locations as some offer both scheduled and private boat tours of the larger lakes in the region. Visit Baxter Fishing Charters
