| The
Rangeley area is known as the birthplace of contemporary
fly-fishing, a place where some of the most famous flies originated.
Years ago the region was noted strictly for its excellent trout
fishing and salmon were later introduced to the larger bodies of
waters. So, come join the multigenerational families here at
Town and Lake and learn what they already know.

This great brook trout was 3 1/2
pounds, and 19 1/2 inches long. Caught by Jerry Vogel on Rangeley
Lake with a "495" tandem streamer fly. Jerry and his wife, Lucy have
been coming to Town and Lake after ice out since 1983 and previous
to that fished Mooselookmeguntic since 1961.
They strictly fly fish the lakes and don't believe in electronic
gadgets and downriggers. "The fish need a fighting chance too." |

Free dock space
